Workshop
There will be a workshop on November 20, 2024 for 3 hours including lectures and tutorials. Workshop details are given below .
Title of the workshop : Introduction to Quantum Cryptanalysis with Shor Algorithm
Objectives : Quantum cryptanalysis is an area of quantum computing that focuses on using quantum algorithms to break classical and post-quantum cryptographic schemes. The need for quantum cryptanalysis arises from the fact that quantum computers have the potential to solve certain mathematical problems much faster than classical computers, which could pose a threat to the security of existing cryptographic systems. Therefore, the need for quantum cryptanalysis arises from the significant computational power that quantum computers may bring, potentially rendering current cryptographic systems vulnerable. The objective of the workshop "Introduction to Quantum Cryptanalysis with Shor Algorithm" is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of quantum computing principles and
their application in breaking classical cryptographic schemes, particularly through Shor's algorithm. The audience will learn how Shor's algorithm exploits quantum Fourier transforms to efficiently factor large numbers, thus undermining the security of widely used cryptographic
protocols like RSA.
